Northern Lights / Ocean Wave Projector
Fun little projector that fills a room with moving colors. The effects look smooth—more “northern lights” than cheap laser dots—and it’s bright enough for a bedroom or classroom without being harsh. Lots of color combinations, simple controls, and kids love it.
It’s lightweight plastic, but it does exactly what it promises: creates a relaxing, ambient glow.
Variable brightness lets this function as a good nightlight. A built-in battery helps alleviate any worries of having it plugged in while a child sleeps nearby, but even then a basic cell phone charger can power this without issue.
There are a few different colors you can choose, I prefer the blue-teal option. It's larger than I was expecting, about 7 1/2 inches from tip to tip and 2 1/2 inches tall. Made from sturdy plastic base and clear (though "wavy") acrylic lens it will be prominent on a night stand or bookshelf.
Charges via USB C (cable included), though you supply your own "wall wart" USB charging block.
Pretty light.
So beautiful! Love the effect it adds to the room with the lights and the different color options available. My only complaint is that it can be hard to see the light unless the room is completely dark, and any other lamp will overpower the projector. Overall, very easy to use and setup.
This was a pleasant surprise. I was bemused when I originally understood it to be a device to project starfish onto my ceiling, but it's much more beautiful than that. In a dim room, it projects slowly moving lovely patterns resembling the aurora borealis onto the ceiling. Love that there are multiple color schemes that you can cycle through.
